Formula 1 Cars Engineering:

A formula1 car is built with some of the best engineering techniques which are known today. This combination of technology with features enables driver to speed up to 360 kilometres per hour.

To make the car to travel to such high speeds they are designed with expensive carbon fibre which is very strong and provides great strength. The vehicle is only a few centimetres above the road to provide car close grip with the road and give it the highest speed.

One can examine the fuel consumption of a F1 car by the fact that at full speed a F1 fuel pump delivers petrol faster than water which flows out of a kitchen tap.

Another engineering skill built in formula1 cars is the aerodynamics which it uses to generate down force. This force is 2 –and-a-half times its own weight which makes it stick to the road.

Formula1 cars today mean engine with capacity of three litres or less with ten cylinders and the minimum car weight around 600kgs.
