The Saturn Astra 5-Door XR is one of the well known brands of cars that were first showcased in the Chicago Auto Show in the year 2007. It was manufactured by the premier car company General Motors. The model was a type of up gradation of the Icon and was meant to be more comfortable, sleek also efficient. It was manufactured in the Antwerp region of Belgium.
The Saturn Astra 5-Door XR is available in three and five door hatchback styles. The car comes with a 1.8 L Family 1 DCVCP gasoline engine, fitted with 4 cylinders. The variable valve technology produces more than 138 horse power and enhances the speed of the vehicle.
The 430 mm alloy wheels offer more grip and help in the smooth driving of the vehicle. The model enjoyed good response and sales in the markets of United States and the European countries. In the year 2009, General Motors sold the Saturn brand to Penske Automotive Group.
